What is the name of your state? California

For thanksgiving 2005, Circuit city had an 8 page insert advertising sales and deals. On the first page of the insert, it says "web only specials @circuit city" and it has a laptop with a web id for $199 after instant rebates, etc.

I ordered this online, but the price is $987 total.. I called customer service and they said it the price for instore only, and not on the web. I'm wondering how they can say web only special on the insert, have a webid under the laptop, but not sell it for that price online as well...

is this false advertising?

Before you check out and have your credit card charged you are given a grand total. Did you happen to miss this part of the checkout?

Q: is this false advertising?

A: Sounds like a misprint to me.

And I do believe in that itsy bitsy tiny print at the bottom of the ad it says they are not responsible for misprints.

the price difference at check out should have been clue #1 that something was out of whack.

I did see that ad, because the price was very appealing
