That was my question. If you are appealing from a General District Court, you have ten days to file an appeal with the Circuit court (you do not need a reason or to say anything special). You will likely have to pay an appeal bond. Then you will be scheduled for a de novo (from scratch) trial in Circuit Court. Note that circuit courts aren't the informal hodge podge the GDC is. You will be well advised to have an attorney. Rules (including evidence, etcc...) will be strictly enforced.
