I live in florida. I have 11 months on my lease. My son was almost kidnapped at his bus stop. We want to move. Is there any way of getting out of my lease. My landlord won't let me break it. My son is scared to death.

1. Give your landlord 60 days notice.

2. Move after 60 days.

3. Be prepared to continue paying rent until the landlord has found a replacement tenant. You can monitor what he is doing to find a replacement tenant, and you can look for, and recommend, potential tenants as replacement.

Alternatively, you can sublease, if your lease or the landlord allow it.
