What is the name of your state? New Jersey

My brother has a citizenship interview date, but he will be unable to attend the interview on that date. If he asks INS to reschedule, then the new date is possibly going to be after how many months ? (or years? !)

It really depends on the calendar for the particular USCIS office, but it can take weeks or months, so if he can attend the interview, he should really attempt to do so.
