a little history- a few years back, i got a citation for urinating in the street (in nyc obviously). it was a mandatory court appearance 4 weeks from the time of the incident. about 3 weeks later, i get a notice from the court stating that i didn't need to show up cause the case was dropped. no reason as to why it was dropped but they basically said i was fine.

now, i'm getting ready to do my citizenship- there's a section which asks if i've done something illegal that i wasn't arrested for....if i've had any citations/arrests/detentions etc...
then it asks for the outcome - i.e. if it was dropped etc...

1. do i really need to list the urination incident? they say not to lie- but if it were in any other state it wouldn't have been illegal

2. it happened a long time ago- i don't even konw how to start looking for this information.

so...opinions welcome---if possible help finding my case would be great. ny courts have a case search, but it states only cases where there was either a conviction or a dismissal. would my case even count since it didn't even get to court?
