The deed restrictions for our subdivision
clearly state that there are not to be any
trailers parked on property. Our neighbor
has three trailers visibly from the street.
Our civic association has yet to do anything
about this although we have complained several times. However, the civic association sends us a letter any time the
neighbor has a complaint against us, which
are very petty complaints, and are not even
in the deed restrictions. These people
are the neighbors from hell.

My response:

Okay, so what? Did you want us to agree or disagree with you? Shall we come over there and beat him up? What's your question? Or are you just "blowing off steam"?

I guess what I was asking was...
What can be done about a civic association
that selectively enforces deed restrictions?
We received a letter from the association
notifying us that we needed to take down
in our back yard. There was no sign in
our back yard and never has been.
The deed restriction clearly states ...no
tents....no trailers. The neighbors have
a tent and three trailers.

My response:

First, have your attorney write a "friendly" warning letter to both the neighbor and the Association, with a time limit to rectify the situation. Second, if that doesn't work, then a lawsuit is in the offing.
