currently my girlfriend is being evicted from an apartment that she VERBALLY has ties to. the landlord is her cousins (who by the way once did our taxes) boyfriend. i never lived at the address but come by on occassion to visit and now that she is being evicted my name somehow appears on her legal documents from this man. my credit monitoring alerts informed me that a civil judgement has been added to my credit..... its from her landlord. what can i do to get this off? in the process of buyin a home and now im worried itll effect that. by the way she has no lease or rental papers at all. the only proof she has that she lives there is her rent receipts and all of her utility bills.... that are n her name. please help?
