What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

Hi, Im trying to find a civil attorney but since I did not have body injury they do not want to take the case; however, there was false arrest and violation of constitutional rights, etc. I wanna make a complaint and sue the cop or the department for my damages and any financial loss I had. Does anyone know or take cases like this?

I was charged 148(a)1 PC resisting, obstructing, delaying an officer.

Your situation was discussed at length 4 months ago: https://forum.freeadvice.com/arrests-searches-warrants-procedure-26/charged-148-pc-but-they-thought-i-high-so-they-arrested-me-booked-me-518079.html

Since Constitutional rights do not have an inherent value, you only get to sue for damages. Civil rights lawsuits are expensive to prosecute and, qualified immunity is a high hurdle to overcome. Unless the damages are high, it is unlikely you will find an attorney to take the case. While there are provisions for attorney fees in the law, judges often weigh the value of the case against what fees will be awarded, so low-damage cases will not have the full amount of the fees the attorney seeks even if the police actions are far more egregious than you claimed in previous posts.
