What is the name of your state?CA

Claimant in Massachusetts is sueing me criminal court in MA for a check that I didn't write, yet he claims I did, and which he honored for the payee.

I want to counter sue, but don't know exactly what to do here in the state of CA:

can I charge him with extortion, bribery, slander?

Are these civil or criminal matters?

Thanks
