i have recently responded to the plaintiffs complaint providing support /copies of 3rd party estimates against the amount withheld the contractor. i just received a 7 page list of interrogatories/request for documents...from the plaintiffs attorney. except for some administrative questions, i have already provided most of the information in defense of my withholding the monies from the contractor. i have also sent this detailed information directly to the contractor in an effort to have him review the information directly and attempt to resolve this dispute without lawyers/courts etc. which will probably cost more than the disputed amounts. does there exist a motion which i could file, in pennsylvania, that would ask the court to review the plaintiffs filing, the defendants response, attach an accounting/estimates(which were also provided in the defendants response) and seek the court to address this case without any further discovery/filings/paperwork/costs/lawyers. to understand the scope - the total amount withheld by the defendants was $2,275 of which the defendant has estimates and credits due them totaling approx. $1,375. defendants agree to remit balance of $900 to plaintiffs. any thoughts regarding the opportunity and preparation of such a motion?
