Living in Florida.

I am seeking information for my two daughters (both in their 20's) regarding the filing a Civil Suit for Punative Damages after their step-father sexually abused them for several years. Both girls have completed police reports, given taped statements, had polygraphs completed and even have a witness who was herself molested by this man. Because of the girls ages at the time of report filing, the statue of limitations had expired and the State Attorneys office was unable to prosecute though they believe he is guilty. At this point, what options do my daughters have for seeking compensation? I believe they are looking for monitary assistance to pay their mounting counseling bills associated with this matter. Please advise. Thanks. Blueyes7363.

I believe some states have "victims compensation" that will help with your daughters expenses. You might want to call a crises center to find information about it and to find out if they still qualify for the program. My prayers go with you and your daughters, I hope you can get this animal put away and off the streets.
