My brother, a permanent resident has served in the U.S Army for four years, he has lived in Los Angeles, CA since he was four years old and he has a family (wife and three minor boys-all of whom are US citizens). He lost his resident card and on his way back from Mexico he stated he was a US Citizen. The immigration officer in Nogales,AZ asked to see his kids' birth certificates and saw that my brother's birthplace was listed as Mexico. He was arrested and is currently facing deportation as he was convicted of a misdemeanor in 1993. He is currently fighting deportation. Does anyone have any advice as to how I can help him? .
