What is the name of your state?TN
Recently, myself and 40 other individuals graduated from paramedic school. About a week ago we all took a two day national test which our state requires to work as a paramedic. Day one was written and day two was a skills exam. The skills exam is in question. The state EMS agency ran the test, and the day seemed to go off without a hitch, and as a whole the class did very well (and we had worked long and hard to do so). the begining of the following week something was leaked form the state office that as a class, we were being accused of cheating on the skills exam. Before anyone including the class, the instructors, and the college could do any sort of damage control, the word got out to many of the local EMS agencies and fire departments. Now state wide the word is spreding. As far as we know we are supposed to have meetings with the state to further discuss the issue within a week. This is affecting many things....our current employment: our employers (many of which paid for school) are not going to the paramedics they were planning on any time in the near future. Our future employment: We will now forever be looked at as the class that cheated. Wtih no attention being paid to weather we are or not. The outcome of this could be as bad as all of us loosing all of our licenses to work in pre-hospital care forever. if anyone has anyadvice i would appreciate it.
