What is the name of your state? TX

We filed a Chapter 7 bankruptcy September 23, 2005 and were discharged January 3, 2006. We are trying to "clea up" our credit report as much as possible. I am n oticing that several creditors are reporting us delinquent whether it be 30, 60, or 90 days from September-November of 2005. Can they still report us delinquent after the filing of a bankruptcy? I was under the impression that they could not, and I will dispute if that is the case.

Thanks!

Absolutely NOT ! If the lates occurred BEFORE you filed, they could report those, but a discharged debt can NOT be 'late' - ever. Neither can it be listed as a charge-off AFTER your bankruptcy.

For cleaning up your reports head over to www.creditboards.com and start reading the Newbie threads.

You can also read this thread on the reporting of negative information on discharged debts:
