I opened a paid email account with snapshot.com. It appears that this company is no longer in business. I found out who registered the name and called the number listed but it is no longer in service. Is there any legal way for me to retrieve my emails from this company?

It would be highly unlikely the emails would still be available. Most small start ups rent or lease their equipment, when they go out of business, the equipment goes back and the hard drives are erased. That is why almost all email services tell you to save your emails to your hard drive, they cannot guarantee they will always be available on the host server. You should be owed a refund for unused service, but you probably won't get that either.
