What is the name of your state?ca
I had a safe deposit box, I never renewed the subscription though I still get notices to renew it; it never had anything but life insurance (term) documents in it (which I removed a year ago); do I have to include this in the statement of affairs? The bk form says to include if it had securities, cash, other valuables, which it never did. I haven't been in the state where it's located in over 1/2 year, and didn't visit it since sometime last summer.

I don't know what resources the trustees have, and I don't want to appear as though I am hiding something. Do I have to include closed safe deposit boxes that never contained any valuables?

No. If there's nothing in it and hasn't been in over a year, there's no need to list it-- its not an asset.

I bet you are asking well why not include it anyway?

Because I've already paid bridgport to prepare the docs and the box for the safe deposit box is checked 'none'; I am being super cheap and don't want to pay another whatever they will charge for making such a simple change -

So, if I should include it, can I make the change on the forms by just listing it anyway even though the box is checked 'none'? That is, will the clerk have an issue with this?

Its not the clerk's place to make an issue. Only the Trustee would have anything to say about it.

There is no need to list an empty safe deposit box. No need to pay to amend your schedules at all.

Many thanks to the Ladynred - I've read many posts of yours and you are always courteous (unlike some other interesting characters on this forum)
