What is the name of your state? WV

My neighbor uses a dirt road that goes through our property and by our house to access his property. We used to get along and we would all openly ride ATVs on each others' property without any problems. Recently after some disputes not related to property, he put up gates and fences at his property line so we cannot get through. He claims it is to keep his animals in, however the gates and fences were only put up in locations to block vehicles. The rest of his property is not fenced in and his animals can freely roam wherever they want.

He continues to drive past our house and through our property to get to his property. He has no right-of-way through our property written on the deed. If we quit allowing him to travel through our property, it would not landlock him. He has access through another dirt road that begins about 2 miles away leading into the back of his property and does not cross ours. Can we legally restrict him from driving on our property to get to his by putting up gates?

It's been awhile since I've posted this and things are starting to heat up between my neighbor and I. He stopped in my driveway on his way across my property and I asked if I could get a key to the gates he has up. He then cussed me and told me I could not have a key. I then told him I was going to shut my road down, that he would have to use a road on teh back side of his property. He then made remarks stating that I couldn't close my road down. Any help????

More has developed, I'm at the end of my rope. An oil company sometimes uses this road to get to their oil wells, so its in their contract to keep the road in good shape. My neighbor called the oil company and told them that the road was impassable (which it wasn't) and told them to fix it. Not only did he make them fix MY road, he made them do it all over again when they were done because it "wasn't good enough" for him. As you can tell, I'm dealin with a real @hole here. Any help?
