My boyfriend, son and i were living in his mothers house. we then continued living there. she moved out without any notification to us. we did not have a lease or any sort of legal agreement. we did have a verbal aggrement to pay an unspecified amount upon notifacation. we never did recieve a notification but continued living there. in november we recieved an eviction and one big bill of 4,500 dollars. before this we had never recieved any bills even after contacting her. As of now she has taken all of our possesions and refuses to return them. Is there anything we can do???? we have been trying to reach an agreement but she will not cooperate.

Who owns the house? and $4500 is for what??

Holding your stuff hostage is a crime, so contact the police and file a criminal report on her.
