i co-sign for my girlfriend on car 7/1/01. Then a week ago the car dealer sent her this sign letter.

"Pursuant to the provisions of the conditional sales contract executed between you and our dealership, we are hereby electing to rescind to rescind the transaction. This election to rescind is pursuant to the (Rescission Rights) section located on the reverse side of the contract. It is requested that you comply with the contract and immediately make arrangements for return of the vehicle. When the vehicle is returned we will refund all consideration given by you to us, which may include cash down payments and/or trade in vehicle."

When we went to take back the car to the dealership. they (dealership) tried to make us keep the car only saying the car is our's. Now we don't want this car anymore i just want to know who's liable for the car. the dealership or my me/girlfriend.
