I am trying to help a friend.
He was engaged to a young lady who was pregnant. She did not have a dependable car and was told that she did not qualify for a loan. His mom co-signed for the loan for her. They have since split up, in a very unfriendly manner. His mom received a letter the other day stating that the x-fiance' is four months behind and they have been attempting to repossess the car, without any luck. She has apparently not even attempted to make payments and is "hiding" the car so it can not be repossessed. Is there anything his mom can do to save her credit? What, if any, are her options?
Thank you.
