hello,
i co-signed a loan for my son a car with (family security credit union)hartselle al 35640,whereas a year later he became delinquent, and i assumed his payments as agreed, however shortly thereafter he totaled the car,at this time i found that my son had let his insurance lapse, but was covered by a policy purchased by(family security)at a higher rate, with the cost applied to the loan.after all was settled(family security maintained that a balance of $1500.00 remained, which i have paid $1000.00 to date.my question is am i as the co-signer liable for for this $1500.00.
thankyou
