I own property as a co-tenant. My partner has moved out of the property. Should he continue paying his 1/2? I have someone who is interested in buying his share. What if he refuses to sell?

If you hold the property as "tenants in common" then you are both jointly responsible for the mortgage, taxes, etc. But if he doesn't pay his half the lender or state will try and make you both forfeit. You can take him to court to try and partitiion the property if he's really uncooperative. Read the section on real estate at this web site's home page.
