What is the name of your state? .TX. i have a case that i consider a cold case altho it was closed at the time. My mother was killed under very suspicious circumstances. It involved a person from the military. The case was not investigated and the military person was taken from jail in the middle of the night and not heard from again.
The incident started by the military person following the womans son home from the military. He told the woman son that he was from the CIA and was sent to investigate the discharged person.
The DA said he found no evidence of a crime but no person was ever questioned in the family and the circumstances of the woman being run over were very curious.
There was a girl that had been kidnapped and beaten because she had said that the military person and his friend had killed the woman. He was placed in jail but nothing was done.
I would like to know if there is anything that can be done. This incident has happened in 1969 and happend in Yuba county california. It has plagued me for many years. My family has been at odds since because they feel I am partially to blame for this because he claimed to be a friend and he was only a brief aquaintance.
I appretiate any help you can give me as to how to handle this case. If this is not the right place for this sort of case could you please direct me in the right direction. Thank you very much . I have success in reopening the case .I like to sue the army for cover up this case
thinks for any help

A 37-year-old "suspicious" death?

It's gonna be tough to re-open that without some serious new leads.

You may have to shell out a good amount of money for a private investigator to look at the matter again, because without any NEW evidence or leads, it is doubtful that the Yuba County Sheriff's Office is going to take on a cold case with staffing shortages as they are.

Well, it's very likely that there won't be anyone around who remembers much about the events so long ago ... but, stranger things have happened.
