Hi, I have a problem with getting my money back from a person I used to work with. He owes me $321 for products that he took from me and $132 for 2 seminars tickets. I have been trying to collect my money back from him since December 1999. I has been over a year and I still have not received a dime. I have proves about all of this and I have emails from him admitting that me owes me $453. I would what can I do to resolve this issue.

Thank you,
T

Send him a final demand letter (certified RRR) detailing the amounts owed and include that he has 10 days to contact you to arrange to pay this debt. If he doesn't contact you (or pay), then you will need to take him to Small Claims court.

I forgot to mention that he now lives in Hawaii, and I live in Georgia. This issue happened when I was still living in Hawaii. Isn't there some other way I can solve this problem?

Thank you,
T

Not as you have described it.

As I see it, here are your options:
1) Sue him in your location, with the reality that you are going to have to domesticate the judgment to Hawaii for enforcement.
2) Sue him in Hawaii. You get a vacation AND won't have to domesticate the judgment.
3) Forget about it (see above #1 and 2).
4) Buy a voodoo doll and name it after him. Then stick pins into it everytime you think about him with YOUR money.
5) Move back to Hawaii so that you can litigate this issue there.

Thanks for the advice. Option #4 seems to be the best option, but I dont know how to do it.

Thanks again,

Don't buy one, just make one. You get a lock of his hair somehow. Then sculpt a candle into a miniature figurine of him. place a piece of his hair somewhere in the sculpture. Use straight pins for the torture. If you want to deem him parylized you wrap the remaining hair around his arms and legs. Remember, when using the pins don't go to crazy or you'll kill the guy and all the fun will out of it. Tell me if it works, I know a guy who owes me money, too!!!!!

Jeter, it sounded like you have tried this yourself. I'm not exactly sure if that's how voodoo works, but if you say so, I'll consider it :) Anyway, thank you for the advice.
