What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania

My husband was approved for disability by his doctors and by the insurance company that he has paid premiums to for two years. He has been out of work since November and hopes to able to return in May after colon surgery.

Every week we have to call the insurance company for them to send his check, we have to fax forms which we do and keep record of receipt by them STILL they continue to give us the run around saying that they haven't received the faxes or they need more info before releasing his weekly check - the stress is impeding his recovery and I am pissed!

How can we get them to just send his checks without begging - what legal standing do we have if any

Thanks for all responses!!

I rpesume that this is a private policy and not a company paid one. Not that it matters-they will always hassle him. I had a company disability policy and every opportunity they got while I was on it, they took advantage of it. They know the only way to stop them is to complain to state regulatory agencies, and file a lawsuit depending on the circumstances. No one ever follows through so they try to get away with as much as they can.
