What is the name of your state? Nevada

I sold my shares and haven't receive my check, from the broker, to date. They've sent it via postal service twice and I didn't receive it and so I went to my former employer to get the funds from them and they said they would issue a check and I havne't received that one either. This has been ongoing for over 2 months. What course of action am I able to take to get my money? I have all the dates and names of the people I spoke to as back up. I was also explained by my former empoyer that they were having trouble with their brokerage company and this has happened on more than one ocassion. I really want my money. Please help.

Sue them in small claims court if the amount is small enough, otherwise, get a lawyer to write a demand letter -- if that doesn't shake the money loose, you'll need to sue them.

They should be able to wire your money directly to your bank account. You should have the money the same day they send it. Some brokers/banks do charge a small fee for the service, but I'd think it'd be worth it to have it all over with.
