What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California
This is my first time on here, I hope someone can help me out. My ex-wife and I were married for a year and had a son together. After the divorce when our son was 4 she left the state and said she didn't want to be a mom. I've since been re-married and our son is 12 now. She recently reached out to me on Facebook asking to see him. I'm wondering if I can go to court and ask for child support or even back support? There was no support stated in the original divorce paperwork. She lives in Ohio and I live in California now in the military.
Thank you

Of course you can ask for child support. You cannot ask for back support because none was ordered, but you can certainly ask for current support.
