I leased a Nissan Pathfinder for 5 years in California, under milage and well kept. At the end of the lease I was told (by BofA) to bring it to any Nissan Dealership and that would be it. I signed off and thought that was it. After serveral weeks the Dealership called and told me to pick it up or it will be towed I told them to check their records because it belonged to them. Then after about 4 months I received a letter claiming I owe $1,373.03 for damages. They sent me an exagerated inspection report and now they have it at a collection agency. Is there anything I could do to stop these proceedings, like take them to court or something before I have to pay.
Your QUICK response will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You.
