PayDay Loan Company - Bennett & Deloney

What is the name of your state? TX
I wrote a post dated check to a payday loan company back in May. I had every intention of taking care of the check, but my payroll check was lost in the mail that week. I had so many bank fees for this reason and was unable to take care of it then. I tried to make arrangements to pay it in installments, but they wanted it all at one time. Now Bennett & DeLoney is trying to collect on this check and I am receiving harassing calls at my place of work as well as my cell phone more than once a day. The representative advised me that I needed to take care of this that day if I did not want to be sued. He refused to put anything in writing for my records. I had no idea who these people were, so I was not making any type of arrangements with him. Besides, he was rude! I have faxed them a cease and desist letter but they still call me at least once a day at my employment. Do I also need to to send this letter via certified mail and file a complaint with the Texas Attorney General? What are the guidelines for a payday loan? Is it considered a bounce check? I was told by them that it was referred by the payday loan's finance company.
