23 year old son has 17,000 in medical bills which have not been paid by insurance. They are requesting more info from medical facilities. medical facilities have given him 10 days to pay or they will turn over to collection agency. what should he do? he is hoping for coverage, but unsure as to whether or not this will happen. he does not want the collection harrassment while waiting to hear from insurance regarding coverage. he does not own anything besides a set of speakers, hand me down bedroom furniture and the clothes on his back. any suggestions would be appreciated.
