What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

back in 2012 I rented an apartment at a complex. Well everything was fine and no issues as far as the apartment goes. When i get out of the lease I pay the remaining charges on the apartment such as cleaning and what ever prorated amount that was needed to pay. I have a receipt from the complex saying that everything is paid. Well i just viewed my credit report on it and it says that I have a collection on my History from the apartment complex of $232 on 09/01/2013, my lease was up 01/31/2013. I have a copy of my credit report. I have contacted the complex and they still say that i dont owe them anything. So they give me the number to the agency and I have called them about 10 times leaving a message each time because that what the answering machine said to. (1st call was placed about a month ago) Im Just wondering If there anything I can sue for because I cant get approved for any kind of loan cause the collection knocked 200+ points from my credit score and im going to school right now(no student loan cause of credit)

On your credit report, it explains how to dispute items showing up that are incorrect. Dispute the collection account.

A 200+ point credit score deduction for one negative $232 account?

You could leave a thousand messages and it's not going to help. Credit report disputes must be done in writing. How to do this is well documented.
