collection then added debt

Can a person be turned over to a collection agency owing 75.00 and they turned over again to the collection agency and the amount owed rises to 153.00? Should the amount remain the same until it is paid? Georgia here.

Not necessarily. There could be any number of things that could change the account balance; such as: interest, penalties, etc.
