NY-Here is a brief synopsis. In October I applied to a college and was accepted in November. In December when I attempted to register I was told long story short that it was a mistake my paperwork was incomplete and someone in admissions made a mistake, the acceptance letter should not have been sent out. I have since spoken to the powers that be and all they continue to tell me is that sorry admissions made a mistake. I don't know what to do. Since believing that I would be attending this school in January for the Spring Semester, I did not send back in other school applications because I made my decision therefore missing deadlines. I have made employment changes amongst other changes in my life in preparation for school. What can I do?

Do you have anything in writing recinding the acceptance letter? Can you post the exact text of the acceptance letter(Omit your name) and a link to the school? What have you done since then? Are you living and working in the same area as the school? What are your actual losses?

What was their reason behind the mistake? Have you done anyting to mitigate that?

You'd better enroll in the nearest JC so you won't waste any more time. If you weren't qualified there's not much yoou can do except move on to the next step.
