What is the name of your state? Colorado

What is the interest rate that is assessed on back unpaid alimony in Colorado?

Is it automatically charged, or does the court need to order it paid?

What is the formula for determining the maximum amount the court could order us to pay each month?

If the ex takes us to court to for the back alimony, will the court be reasonable, looking at our living expenses, and order payment terms that we can afford? Or, will they basically force us to pay the maximum?

We are making payments now on the back alimony but it will take years to pay it off. Any advice to avoid getting a judgment against us? getting ordered to pay the max whether we can afford it or not?

Advice and your experiences are welcome....

"WE" are not responsible for alimony, unless WE were married to the recipient.

If obligor has been unable to pay:

A. He should have filed for a modification.

B. As spouse, I sure hope you've made sure you are working a good job to try to make up his shortfall, because it will need to be paid. I also hope you've kept all your non-marital assets SEPERATE because jointly owned assets may be liened AND SEIZED.
