How far do cevenants go in a townhome situation in the State of Colorado? Can the association tell you what you can and cannot have in your backyard (i.e. decking, planters, patio furniture/umbrellas, or ponds/fountains)? This area is fenced in and considered my property. Also, if the association has the power to dictate the above, what rights do I have when they have allowed other homeowners to make similar inhancements? Is there a point where it becomes harrassment or discrimination when they cannot justify why they will grant some people permission for changes and not others?
