i am in michigan. my question is what is the rule on combined hearings? can two separate courts (i was told i had to file the hearings in two separate courts) combine hearings without prior notice that the hearings will be combined? i had prepared two different statements to be read into the record and during the hearing which was coincidently not the hearing that was supposed to happen first(?) the judge decided that he had heard enough and would be combining the hearings and ruled against me.i was denied the opportunity to make a statement for the record. i have filed an appeal but is the fact that the hearings were held out of the docket orderand combined an issue which SHOULD be addressed in the appeal??

the rulings look like two separate hearings actually took place and were filed in the two courts on different dates.
