Congress controls anything that is commerce, based on the commerce clause of the first article section 8 par. 3 of the US Constitution, but it is limited to objects of commerce. My question is when have cocaine and marijuana become commerce since in the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure book it clearly states that marijuana has no medical use, controlled or uncontrolled. By this, it excludes marijuana as having any use for such product and since it has no legal use, why is it a commodity? The same with cocaine? Furthermore, Congress places these two particular narcotics as controlled substances, so A)How are they part of commerce? B)Any suggestions on where can I get literature to read on this topic? C) What makes them commerce?
