Commercial Lease- Bite your tongue

What is the name of your state? Ga
I own my own retail shop and i lease a retail space in a shopping center. Recently, our management company had a bit of turn-over and we now have a new "Leasing Rep".

I have another job outside of owning this retail business, so I have employees who run it for me. Many of which are high school teens working after school and weekends. 3 times now, I have gotten "DETAILED" messages from my teen staff regarding calls from this Leasing Rep. When she calls and asks for me (since Im the only name on my lease) and they tell her Im not in the store, not knowing if it's a customer on the other end of the phone or what, they ask "is there anything I could help you with?" Well..... this is where she just goes all out and tells them everything. Once it was about a banner we had hanging over our store front. Once it was about 4 calls I had made to them complaining that the lighting timers were off. The lights were lit all day, then the whole area was pitch black at night and it was quite scary for the girls locking up and walking to their cars at night. But ....the call she made last week just kinda set me off and i thought about complaining to the Property Manager about it.

She called the store, my 16 year old part timer told the caller I was not in the store but she'd be glad to help her. The Leasing Rep says to my employee... "okay, tell her I was calling because I emailed her about a week ago telling her that we are asking all tenants to remove any banners from the building by the 12th or we will do it ourselves and dispose of them. She never emailed me back and i need to know whats going on." (Well.... gee. The email did not say respond back. I immediately had the banner removed and put away. If she did her job properly and came by she would see that it was gone). Then she proceeds to tell my employee that rent is due on the first and the grace period is thru the 5th.... "today is the 6th and we dont have your rent!" WHOA!!!!

I have never been late on my rent and for her to tell my teenage employee this info is unacceptable. Isnt there some golden rule about NOT DISCUSSING LEASE ISSUES WITH ANYONE WHO IS NOT ON THE LEASE? What really ticked me off is that my employee gave me the message over the phone while customers were within earshot in the store. (Yes I've given her a piece of my mind about this.... however, I feel the leasing rep should have never given that info to her in the first place!)

Im considering calling or writing to the Property Manager and telling him how upset this has gotten me. She knows i dont work in the store and she has my email address. Any suggestions on how I should handle this?

nope.

but what you can do is write them a letter (not an e-mail, not a phone call, but a LETTER) instructing them who they are allowed to talk to and who they aren't in non-emergency situations. give them your contact info.
