Commission check short!!

What is the name of your state? GA

I was "let go" on Thursday with no advanced warning and with no explanation. I have to go pick up a commission check for 1200.00 tomorrow, but according to my calculations, the check should be for 2300.00. If they do not pay me is there anything I can do? This is a small, family run business and we did not have any sort of agreement in writing regarding the amount of my commission. I get 20% of profits though and all the other checks add up.

You can try contacting the GA state DOL, but I wouldn't be holding my breath since GA has very weak wage and hour laws.

You can also try small claims, but again, since you have nothing in writing it'll come down to a he said-she said.
