FLORIDA
I am one of a few personal representatives of an estate. I understand that according to Florida Probate Law, personal reps are allowed a commission from the estate. Originally when we met with the Estate Attorney all three of the personal reps were not interested in receiving a commission for their service, so we decided to not take a commission at that time. My question is, even though we stated we did not want to receive a commission in the beginning, and we now decide that we do, can we still be entitled to a commission even though we waived it as not interested in the beginning? I checked the Florida Probate Law and it states that a personal rep can renounce the commission, but it doesn't state anything about them being able to receive it later on if they decide so. HELP!
