What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? RI. With very Little feedback from Brother it is believed by us (Family) that he has jumped in front of a moving car and may have stabbed himself he's extremely depressed and apparently suicidal. He's estranged from his Wife who I know wont help in this matter so do we his Dad or Brothers have the ability to have him committed to a hospital?

A legal board may not be the place you need to be talking to. If you are concerned about your brother, I suggest talking to people who work in crisis intervention in RI:
