What is the name of your state? California

I lost a considerable amount of money because there was wrong information posted on my broker's web page. They posted the wrong holiday closing hours for a certain market for the day before the Easter holiday, April 8, 2004, which in turn caused me to lose a futures contract with big financial loss to me.

I quickly made a screen shot of the posted hours before and after I talked to their Help Desk about it. (After I mentioned the mistake to them, it was quickly corrected within 3-5 minutes, but I have the screenshot pictures of both the incorrect and correct postings as evindence.)

Additionally, a few months ago, one of their Help Desk operators gave me the wrong regular hours for the same market, causing me to lose another sum of money.

This agency seems to have trouble keeping up-to-date with the trading hours of the markets. I learned my lesson the hard way, and now I go straight to the exchanges' web sites to check the real hours, but this will not bring back my lost money, which in turn put a big dent on my trading account, which in turn causing me to drop out of several other futures contracts with a great loss because I was pushed into margin calls by the initial losses.

At first I thought oh, well, I just have to take it and go on, but then the reality came in. This had caused a lot more damage to my account by cutting my staying power and making me lose a lot more than I thought I would at first. Presently, I am almost down to nothing in my account because of this!

I am in good terms with my broker personally and I would not want to cause him any trouble. However, I would like to know if, by law, the brokerage agency itself should be responsible for this and reimburse me my loss (not mentioning the consequential losses caused by this loss of capital in my trading account,) if I could take any legal steps, and what the statute of limitations is in such cases. Do I have any grounds for asking for reimbursement; or legal action, if I am denied the reimbursement?

Please help me.

Thank you very much in advance for your time and assistance.
