TEXAS- what would be the law pertaining to a divorced couple who have lived together for 4 years common law and represented themselves as a married couple if they decided to go seperate ways. What would be the rights of each party and etc.

A man and woman who want to establish a common-law marriage must sign a form provided by the county clerk. In addition, they must (1) agree to be married, (2) cohabit, and (3) represent to others that they are married.

Unless you signed something, you are no CLM.
