I am from Denver ( Parker ) colorado. I am writing in reguards of my brother. Him and his girlfriend have been together for approx 4-5 yrs. they have never married. They are now seperating due to her actions. The only thing they have together in the marriage is a house in Parker Co. He put alot of money into the house approx 30 grand which is the down payment he put down for the new home, and half the equity in the home that is all he is asking. she is not willing to do this and is saying she wants monies from the home he had before they even met which he sold to help with the purchase of this new home. Is it common law He never portrayed them as being married? and is he entitled to some of the monies from this home? What can he do to finish this once and for all. she is trying to take him for everything.
