Was wondering the legality of this comp time policy? A forty employee non-profit has this as their comp time policy...
Each employee is granted 40-hours of comp time annually. However, to use this a person must use up all of their vacation time. If you are non-exempt you are given 24-hours. You can earn no more and if you don't use it all is lost. This happens all the time as it can only be used after vacation time is expended.
Any thoughts are appreciated?
