I am an Engineer currently working with a consulting firm. The company has offered me a staff position complete with all normal company benifits. I've been told that if an employee opts to not participate in a company sponsored health benifit package, the company is required by law to offer compansation. Any logic to this??? Thanks - DadeLar

Not true. Some companies, as a courtesy, do this but they are not obligated to by law.
