I contracted a company to build a patio for me. I received estimates and designs from a few companies and finally settled on this one due to their reputation and proclamation of quality work. When the company was finished with the patio the job looked terrible and they had ruined my driveway in the process. They have since rebuilt the entire patio and promise to have the driveway repaved when I pay the final amount. I am still not satisfied with the finish product, but the company says that is their final product and I owe them for the work. I have told them I will not pay until I am satisfied. They say my expectations are unrealistic and that until I pay they are going to post my name, address, and the amount of money that I am in "default" to them on the internet, so as to warn other contractors not to work with me. Is this legal? What are my legal rights to stop this libel?
