I was issued a company vehicle from the school board I worked for and was being charged for this use. The paperwork noted that I would use the vehicle to commute from home to work and vise versa.
The problem is I used to have to commute to the nearest school or facility with my own vehicle in the morning and vise versa at the end of the day. I was told it was up to the discretion of the Assistant Superintendant as to who could actually take a vehicle HOME. Is this legal. And by the way the A.S. took his vehicle home everyday.

You failed to tell us your state, but in ANY state, there is no law against making rules about company vehicles used in this manner.

ETA: And yes, "company" can mean "school board".
