i helped start an internet service along with a contract for a set salary i was also issued 70 shares of this company as compensation for startup and running of daily activities of the company. completely out of the blue the president of the company calls me and says that after 2 years he is closing the doors and liquidating all assets. being that to the best of my knowledge he had not lied to me in the past, i agreed to allow him time to get everything in order before talking about my compensation and the shares that i owned. i recently found a press release stating that the company had actually been sold and that it is still operating under the same name only in a different location and newly staffed. after multiple attempts to get answers from the previous president this is one of my last steps at getting some help. what if anything can i do about this?
thank you.
