My husband & I recently travel to Mexico for vacation. Our luggage did not make it to our location. It stayed at our departure city. We were gone 10 days w/ no luggage. Airline could not find luggage. After we returned home, found out luggage was still at airport where we left. It was returned 4 days afterwards, damaged. Shipped luggage to corporate headquarters. They repaired luggage and sent us a check for out of pocket expenses. Did not reimburse us for our luggage delay, which their Conditions of Contract state they will reimburse us. They said they are no longer liable because luggage was returned. Their conditions of contract state that will pay $9.07 per lb, 70 lb max for international travel. How do I make them pay? Their conditions of contract does not state anything about not being liabable if luggage is returned. It seems to me that 14 days without the luggage would be defined as delay of luggage.
